img118_rjWelcome to the family of God and to new relationships

To those of you who have made the most important decision of your life…the decision to accept Jesus Christ as your Savior and Lord, you are now a member of the "family" of God. This choice you have made has opened you to a new relationship with your Creator and those of the household of faith. The word family is an expression taken from the Bible. “You are no longer strangers but fellow citizens with the saints and members of the household of God.” Ephesians 2:19

Know your Heavenly Father and strive to please Him through obedience.

God is love. It is the precise reason why He sent His Son Jesus Christ to this earth to redeem you from your sins and to show you the way to live a godly life. John 3:16

Read the Bible: Not only did God send us His only Son Jesus Christ, He also give us a love letter “The Bible”…read it every day and discover God’s amazing desire to be in relationship with you and to prosper you in body, soul and spirit.

Pray Always: The Lord longs to hear you call out His name in your love relationship with Him, in your times of praise, in your times of need, and in your times of sorrow, or grief, and in your times of praying for others.

Listen: God speaks in many ways. He speaks through His Words, He speaks when you are in prayer, He speaks through people, He speaks through dreams, and He can speak through the circumstances of our lives.

brain rules

Obey: Obey the voice of God when He warns you about wrong intensions, behaviors, attitudes or motives in dealing with others. Be quick to ask for forgiveness when He points out your sins. God is faithful and just to forgive you of your sins. “If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness” 1 John 1:9

Attend Church: Making a decision to congregate with those who love the Lord has many benefits. Such benefits include but not limited to encouragement, exhortation, affirmation and new friendship. “And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as in the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.” Hebrews 10: 24-25

Utilizing your God-given gifts: If you do not know what your gifts are, you can ask the Lord to show you and He will! When you have discovered your gifts and talents, be sure to use them to bless others and therein glorify God.

Share your spiritual experience with others: If you are excited about being in relationship with the Lord, be sure to let others know about it. Preaching the gospel begins with sharing your testimonies of what the Lord has done for you. Show your love for Christ by telling others about Him. Everyone Can! You Can!

Be watchful: Jesus Christ can return to earth any day. May he find you faithful and true. “Therefore, if you will not watch, I will come upon you as a thief, and you will not know what hour I will come upon you.” Revelation 3:3

Enjoy your life in Christ, and if we never meet here on this earth, I pray that we will, one day, meet in heaven.

God bless you,

Anita
